Zoho CRM allows you to convert qualified leads into accounts, streamlining your sales process. Here's a step-by-step guide with screenshots to help you convert leads to accounts:
1. Access the Lead Details:
Log in to your Zoho CRM account.
Navigate to the Leads tab.
Locate the lead you want to convert and click on it to open its details page.
2. Initiate the Conversion Process:
In the Lead Details page, locate the Convert button. This is usually a blue button on the top right corner.
3. Choose Conversion Options:
A pop-up window titled "Lead Conversion" will appear. Here, you'll decide how to convert the lead:
Create Account & Contact: This creates a new account for the company and a new contact for the lead. (Select this option for this tutorial.)
Link to Existing Account: If the lead is associated with an existing company, choose this option and select the account from the dropdown list.
Create Contact Only: This creates a new contact but doesn't create a new account.
4. (Optional) Map Lead Fields (For Create Account & Contact):
Zoho CRM allows you to map corresponding fields between your lead, contact, and account during conversion. This ensures relevant information is transferred to the new records.
By default, Zoho uses pre-defined mappings, but you can customize them using the Map Fields section.
Click the Edit link next to "Map Fields" to see a list of lead fields. Match each lead field with the corresponding contact and account fields using the dropdown menus. Click Save to confirm your mappings.
5. Complete Conversion:
Once you've chosen the conversion option and (optionally) mapped the fields, click the Convert button at the bottom of the window.
Zoho CRM will now convert the lead into an account (and a contact, if you selected "Create Account & Contact"). You'll see the newly created account and/or contact listed in their respective modules within Zoho CRM.
Additional Tips:
Before converting a lead, ensure it's qualified and has enough information for creating an account.
You can set up predefined lead conversion mappings to save time during the conversion process (refer to Zoho CRM documentation for details on setting up mappings).
Converting a lead creates a record of its conversion history, allowing you to track its progress through your sales funnel.
