Creating a Lead in Zoho CRM
After qualifying a lead, you can now proceed to manually add leads for potential customers.
Here's a step-by-step guide with screenshots to help you create a lead
1. Access the Leads Module:
Log in to your Zoho CRM account.
Navigate to the Leads tab. You'll usually find this on the upper left sidebar menu right next to Feeds.
2. Create a New Lead:
Click the Create Lead button. This is usually a blue button located at the top right corner of the Leads page.
3. Fill in the Lead Details:
A new window will appear with the lead creation form. Lead Owner will automatically have your name as you are the one creating this Lead.
Fill in the details of your potential customer, including:
First and Last Name
Title (optional)
Email (optional, but highly recommended)
Phone (optional) or Mobile (must ask for their consent first before adding to our database)
Company
Website (optional)
Lead Status (e.g., New Lead, Qualified Lead)
Tip: You can also add additional information in the provided fields like Source (where you found the lead), Rating, and Description.
4. Save the Lead:
Once you've entered the necessary details, click the Save button at the top of the form.
Your new lead will be created and added to our Zoho CRM system. You can now manage and track the lead's progress through your sales funnel.
